The Director and staff of Magic Moments Riding Therapy were instrumental in bringing Special Olympic Equestrian Competition to the State of Missouri. The first competition was held on September 18, 1999, at Civil War Ranch Arena in Carthage, Missouri. In addition to riders from Magic Moments, riders from Making A Difference Riding Center in Aurora also participated. With television cameras rolling, the students from Magic Moments did themselves proud!

It is our fervent hope that other riding centers in Missouri will be interested in raising this competition to the State level in the very near future. It is important to our student-athletes that they be recognized for their hard work.
